Pine Springs, MN

Tucked around the shores of Long Lake just northeast of St. Paul, Pine Springs is a tiny, peaceful enclave that feels surprisingly secluded for being right in the Twin Cities metro. The neighborhood grew out of historic lakeside cabins that have since become year-round homes, surrounded by dense trees, wetlands, and open water. There are no storefronts, streetlights, or sidewalks here, and homes run on private wells and septic tanks to keep the setting quiet and rustic. With the Gateway State Trail running along its southern border and quick access to Highway 36 and Interstate 694, it offers an easy commute alongside plenty of outdoor charm.
