Plain started out in the late 1800s as a tiny settlement called Logtown before officially incorporating in 1912. Tucked into the rolling countryside of Sauk County along Highway 23, the village offers a quiet, relaxed setting with plenty of convenient amenities. Residents have easy access to everyday local staples right in town, including a community pool, a public library, well-kept parks, and the Westbrook Hills Golf Course.

Throughout the year, neighbors gather for events like St. Luke’s Sommerfest, the summer Fire and EMS celebration, Strassenfest, and a winter Christkindlmarkt filled with good food, music, and crafts.
