Plattsburg, MO

Plattsburg is the Clinton County seat in the Kansas City metro area, centered on the Little Platte River and Horse Fork in northwest Missouri. The 2020 census counted 2,222 residents. The city was created as the county seat in 1861, and that role still concentrates courthouse services, retail, and professional offices in the center. The water map is part of the town's shape too: Horse Fork passes east of town before joining the Little Platte, while lakes and streams surround the built-up area. Plattsburg's local texture sits in its historic homes and parks.

The Clinton County Historical Museum occupies an 1889 house, and walking routes run through older homes on Clay, Birch, Riley, and Maple streets.
