Pleasant Lake, IN

Pleasant Lake is an unincorporated community in Steuben Township, Steuben County, Indiana, with the lake itself serving as the organizing feature. The post office has operated since 1851, and the town's identity grew around water, roads, and the small commercial and residential center along Main Street. The wider county is known for its many lakes, so Pleasant Lake belongs to a region where summer recreation and year-round households share the same geography.

The Pleasant Lake History Museum keeps that local story in a building on West Main Street, while Pleasant Lake Montessori also gives the community a current school presence.
