Pleasant Ridge, MI

Tucked along Woodward Avenue between Ferndale and Royal Oak, Pleasant Ridge is one of metro Detroit's smallest and most charming residential enclaves. Home to roughly 2,600 people, the city offers a peaceful, small-town atmosphere just fifteen minutes northwest of downtown Detroit. Its quiet, canopy-shaded streets showcase beautiful historic architecture, with grand brick Tudors and Craftsman homes sitting west of Woodward and cozy early-1900s bungalows lining the streets to the east.

Despite its tiny footprint, the community maintains its own distinct identity with perks like a residents-only pool, a community center, and several well-kept pocket parks. Students attend Ferndale Public Schools, and neighbors can easily walk or bike to the bustling restaurants, coffee shops, and venues in downtown Ferndale and Royal Oak.
