About Pollard
Pollard is a historic town in Escambia County, Alabama. Serving as the county's original county seat from 1868 until 1883 when it was succeeded by Brewton, the community now has a population of 147 residents. Pollard is located just south of U.S. Routes 31 and 29, approximately 6 miles east of Flomaton and 9 miles southwest of Brewton. Public education is administered by the Escambia County Public School System, and the town's homes have a median value of approximately eighty-one thousand dollars.
