About Pomeroy
Pomeroy is a Chester County CDP in Sadsbury Township with a railroad past hiding inside a very small map. The Pomeroy and Newark Railroad made the place its northern terminus, and passenger service lasted until 1928. Today Pennsylvania Route 372 runs through the village, connecting Coatesville and Parkesburg, while the old line’s story lives in local maps and historical accounts. Pomeroy is southeastern Pennsylvania in a branch-line shape: a small place built around where trains once turned.
