Port Byron is a quiet, close-knit village of around 1,100 people in Cayuga County, sitting just north of Auburn. Originally settled in the late 1700s, the community grew into a busy hub along the Erie Canal in the 1800s. Today, daily life moves at a much calmer pace. The Owasco Outlet flows right through the center of town toward the Seneca River, giving the area a relaxed feel, while Routes 31 and 38 make it simple to travel across the Finger Lakes region.
