About Port Isabel

Port Isabel is a city in Cameron County, Texas, situated on the western side of the Laguna Madre estuary. Originally known as El Frontón and renamed to honor Queen Isabella of Spain, the coastal community of approximately 5,111 is connected to South Padre Island by the Queen Isabella Causeway and is served by the Point Isabel Independent School District.
