Porter, MN

Set along the Yellow Medicine River in western Minnesota, Porter is a quiet farming town where life moves at an easy pace. The community got its start in the late 1800s when the railroad arrived to serve the Scandinavian homesteaders farming the open prairie. Today, it remains a relaxed place spanning Yellow Medicine and Lincoln counties, with a historic community hall, local grain elevators, and the river winding right through town.
