Portland is a city in Ionia County, Michigan, situated at the confluence of the Grand and Looking Glass rivers. Known as the City of Two Rivers and developing from a historic 1833 trading post established by Philo Bogue, the residential community of approximately 3,790 at the 2020 census is served by the Portland Public Schools district.
