Prewitt is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in McKinley County, New Mexico, United States. The 2020 census counted 842 residents. Prewitt is located along Interstate 40, 20 miles northwest of Grants. Prewitt is within the Baca/Prewitt Chapter House boundary in the "Checkerboard Area" of the Navajo Nation.
