Pringle, PA

Pringle is a Luzerne County borough in the Wyoming Valley, a small place whose clearest landmarks are educational, not monumental. The borough is part of the Wyoming Valley West School District and is home to the West Side Career and Technology Center, a regional campus serving students from several area districts. That gives Pringle a role larger than its small municipal footprint: people arrive for technical programs, high-school coursework, and the shared routines of the valley.

Pringle was incorporated on January 17, 1914, and named for Thomas Pringle. Its streets sit within the anthracite coal-field landscape of northeastern Pennsylvania, where boroughs, old industrial corridors, and hillside neighborhoods run together across the Wyoming Valley. There is no need to make Pringle carry a grand story by itself.
