About Prospect Park
Prospect Park is a borough in Passaic County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1901 from portions of the former Manchester Township and named after Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Home to approximately 6,300 residents, the borough passed an ordinance in 1978 prohibiting the sale of alcohol, making it a dry town. Public education from kindergarten through eighth grade is administered by the Prospect Park School District.
