Pyote, TX

Pyote is a tiny, quiet community out in the open desert of Ward County, sitting right along Interstate 20 in West Texas. It got its start as a remote railroad stop before catching a wild oil boom in the late 1920s, back when drillers, rail cars, and supply houses briefly turned it into a buzzing regional hub. While that early rush eventually drifted down the road to Monahans, Pyote settled into an easygoing rhythm with plenty of room to breathe and a rich history tucked into the surrounding landscape.

Life in Pyote is closely connected with neighboring towns like Monahans and Wickett.
