Queenstown, MD

Founded in 1707, Queenstown is one of the oldest settlements on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It served as the original county seat for decades, and its preserved 1708 courthouse still stands right in the center of town. Life here has long centered around the water, starting as a colonial port along Queenstown Creek where steamboats once carried travelers and local goods across the bay toward Baltimore.

Today, Queenstown offers a quiet, easygoing pace shaped by surrounding farmland, marinas, and scenic tidal waterways. Locals enjoy boating out on the creek, playing a round at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course, and taking advantage of nearby outlet shopping. It gives residents the relaxed feel of a classic waterfront village while keeping Annapolis and the Bay Bridge within an easy drive.
