About Rainbow Park
Rainbow Park is a Marion County census-designated place of 1,672 people in the 2020 census, on the northwest side of Florida State Road 40 about 14 miles west of Ocala and 10 miles northeast of Dunnellon. It is part of the Ocala metro. Rainbow Park is unincorporated, and its daily map is county roads, named subdivision units, and county services, with no separate town center. You can see that county setup in the road work. Marion County has recent projects for Rainbow Park units, including grading, drainage swales, paving, and new road sections, while county crews list several units for routine mowing.
The 2026 project reaches several internal road sections, with drainage work included. The similarly named Rainbow Neighborhood Park is a separate property near Dunnellon, used mainly for overflow parking at KP Hole Park. On the ground, Rainbow Park is a spread-out western Marion community organized around State Road 40 and county services, with Ocala east and the Dunnellon area west.
