About Rainier

Rainier is a city in Columbia County, Oregon, situated on the south bank of the Columbia River opposite Longview, Washington. Founded in 1851 by postmaster Charles Fox and historically located near the decommissioned Trojan Nuclear Power Plant, the riverfront community of approximately 2,130 is served by the Rainier School District for public education locally.
