About Ravenna

Ravenna is a city and the county seat of Portage County, Ohio, situated within the Akron metropolitan area. Founded in 1799 by Benjamin Tappan and named after the city in Italy, the community of approximately 11,274 was historically recognized for its custom hearse manufacturing. Public education is served by the Ravenna City School District.
