Red Hook, NY

Red Hook is a village in Dutchess County, New York, situated along U.S. Route 9 near Bard College. Named from the Dutch word Roode Hoeck in reference to the area's autumn foliage and historically known as Hardscrabble, the community of approximately 2,275 is served by the Red Hook Central School District for public education locally.
