About Reedley

Reedley is a Fresno County city in the San Joaquin Valley, about 22 miles east-southeast of Fresno along the Kings River. It traces its modern settlement to Thomas Law Reed, a Union veteran who grew wheat for Gold Rush miners. Water from the Kings River shaped the area's farming economy, and Reedley still carries a strongly agricultural Central Valley identity. The city hosts cultural events such as the Reedley Fiesta and is served by Kings Canyon Unified School District.
