Remerton, GA

Remerton is a tiny, historic enclave tucked entirely within the borders of Valdosta. It started out in 1899 as a company town built around the Strickland Cotton Mill, and while the mill has long since closed, you can still see that industrial heritage in the compact streets and historic mill cottages across the area.

Today, Remerton sits right next to Valdosta State University, giving it a lively, student-friendly vibe. It serves as a popular hub for local nightlife, casual dining, and rentals for young adults and college students. Even though it easily blends into Valdosta's daily rhythm, Remerton operates as an independent city with its own local government and community services, creating a tight-knit neighborhood right in the center of the action.
