Richfield sits directly south of Minneapolis, tucked comfortably between Edina, Bloomington, and the airport. Because the city spans just under seven square miles, almost everything feels close at hand. Commuters driving to work also enjoy immediate access to both I-35W and I-494. Most neighborhoods are made up of well-kept mid-century ramblers on classic, sidewalk-lined streets with mature trees, alongside newer apartments and townhomes built close to major transit stops.

Green space is easy to find, with over twenty community parks scattered across town. Wood Lake Nature Center is a favorite local sanctuary, offering peaceful walking trails, floating boardwalks across the wetlands, and winter snowshoe paths right in the middle of the suburb. Over at Veterans Memorial Park, you will find an outdoor pool, mini golf, and ice rinks. The park also hosts a popular Saturday morning farmers market from May through October, filled with regional produce, fresh baked goods, and neighbors catching up.
