Richmond, LA

Richmond is a small, quiet village in northeast Louisiana's Madison Parish, settled along Brushy Bayou right on the southern edge of Tallulah. With around 500 residents, it offers a slow, rural pace of life with quick access to nearby towns. Interstate 20 runs right along the southern side of the community, making it easy to drive about twenty miles east across the river to Vicksburg, Mississippi, or head west toward Delhi and Monroe for work and shopping.

The area has a long Delta history and originally served as the parish seat before being rebuilt in the twentieth century following the Civil War. Today, it functions largely as a peaceful residential pocket next to Tallulah. Families here are served by the Madison Parish School District just down the road, and Tallulah Academy Delta Christian School is located right within Richmond. It is a calm, out-of-the-way spot for newcomers looking for small-town privacy with a straightforward highway connection.
