Tucked along Bee Creek in northern Platte County, Ridgely is a small, peaceful village surrounded by wide-open farmland. It sits about a dozen miles north of Platte City and just a short drive from historic Weston, giving residents a quiet country setting that is still connected to the Kansas City metro. The town got its name from its high ridge, a welcome upgrade from its colorful frontier nickname, Hell Town.
