Ripon is a city in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, founded in 1849 by steamboat captain David Mapes. Famous as the home of the Little White Schoolhouse where the Republican Party was founded in 1854, the community of approximately 7,772 is served by the Ripon School District for public primary and secondary education.
