Rippey is a city in Greene County, Iowa, United States. The 2020 census counted 220 residents. Rippey got its start in the year 1870, following construction of the Des Moines Valley Railroad through that territory. In the late 19th century, Rippey and Angus, four miles to the southeast, were the centers of coal mining in Greene County.
