River Bluff is a small, quiet community of around 400 residents in Oldham County, sitting right alongside Prospect. It functions much like a peaceful residential neighborhood, though it actually incorporated as its own city in 1980. The community got its start when a group of proactive homeowners banded together to fix their subdivision roads and establish local services that would keep the area well-maintained.

That practical, community-first mindset still defines the area today. Local officials manage neighborhood essentials like street upkeep, lighting, and trash collection, keeping the tree-lined streets clean and quiet.
