River Ridge, LA

River Ridge is a Jefferson Parish census-designated place along the New Orleans area's upriver suburban edge. The land was developed by French colonists and their descendants in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, and Sauve Road remains a main local thoroughfare. Little Farms Park is one of the community's public green spaces. River Ridge feels residential and established, with older ranch houses, schools, levee-side geography, and quick access to both New Orleans and the suburban job centers of Metairie and Kenner.
