Riverview, MO

Riverview is a St. Louis County village, separate from the Riverview neighborhood inside the City of St. Louis. The village sits in North County near the Mississippi River corridor and keeps its own municipal map, with city hall, parks and recreation, Memorial Park, police, fire, and building services all listed locally. The name overlaps with the larger St. Louis neighborhood because both grew from the same river-road landscape: Columbia Bottoms Road, now Riverview Drive, was laid out around 1830 as a farm-to-market route. Riverview is a compact municipality whose story is easiest to follow by keeping the county village and city neighborhood distinct.
