Riviera Beach, MD

Riviera Beach is a Pasadena-area community in Anne Arundel County, set near the Patapsco River and the creeks and coves that lead toward the Chesapeake Bay. It is mostly residential, with a waterfront and boating feel that separates it from inland Baltimore suburbs. The area also carries the history of racially restrictive housing covenants once used in Maryland before the Fair Housing Act. Today Riviera Beach is best understood as a working Chesapeake suburb, close to Baltimore, Glen Burnie, and the water.
