About Roe

Roe is a small town in Monroe County, Arkansas, situated at the junction of U.S. Route 79 and Arkansas Highway 33 in the small portion of Monroe County west of the White River. The community began as a railroad depot around 1880 on the Cotton Belt line, originally in Prairie County before a boundary adjustment placed it in Monroe County in 1883. With a population of 68 at the 2020 census, the town lies fourteen miles northeast of Stuttgart and seven miles southwest of Clarendon.
