About Roland

Roland is an unincorporated census-designated place in western Pulaski County, Arkansas, located along the southern banks of the Arkansas River. Developed in the late nineteenth century as a railroad stop on the Kansas and Arkansas Valley Railway, the community sits in the scenic foothills of the Ouachita Mountains just north of Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The area provides nearby access to Lake Maumelle and local agricultural attractions. Public education is administered by the Pulaski County Special School District, with students zoned to the Joe T. Robinson campus.
