Roopville, GA

Roopville is a quiet, tight-knit community in southern Carroll County, located right along U.S. Route 27. It sits about ten miles south of Carrollton, giving residents an easy drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and regional healthcare while keeping a peaceful country setting. The town owes its start to John K. Roop, who settled here in the 1880s, built the first local stores and grist mill, and donated land to help the settlement grow. When Roopville officially incorporated in 1885, the town limits were simply measured as a 500-yard circle centered on Roop's home.
