About Roselle

Roselle is a borough in Union County, New Jersey, separate from neighboring Roselle Park. It grew as a rail-era suburb and became notable in the early electrical age: in 1883, a church and surrounding area in Roselle were lighted using Thomas Edison's incandescent system. Today Roselle is a dense, diverse New Jersey borough with more than twenty thousand residents, close to Elizabeth, Linden, and the broader New York metropolitan region. Its identity is practical, urban-suburban, and older than many postwar commuter towns.
