Salamanca is an incorporated town in Cattaraugus County, New York, surrounding the separate city of Salamanca on the Allegany Indian Reservation of the Seneca Nation. Traversed by State Route 353 and named for Spanish railroad investor José de Salamanca, the rural valley township of approximately 5,846 is served by the Salamanca City Central School District locally.
