Saluda, SC

Saluda is Saluda County's seat, set at the crossroads of U.S. 378 and South Carolina 121 near the Little Saluda River. The town was first called Redbank; when Saluda County was created in 1896, the town took the county's name and kept the courthouse role. The county's portion of Lake Murray and the Little Saluda widen the map beyond the square, while historic buildings give the center a civic outline. Saluda is a South Carolina county seat whose name, roads, and waterways all belong to the same local geography.
