Sanders is a census-designated place in Apache County, Arizona, situated on the southern edge of the Defiance Plateau. The community of approximately six hundred residents is located at the junction of U.S. Route 191 and Interstate 40, near the banks of the Puerco River. Sanders serves as an education hub for the surrounding area under the administration of the Sanders Unified School District.
