About Sedona

Sedona is a small northern Arizona city split between Coconino and Yavapai counties, famous well beyond its size for red rock scenery. The city sits within the Coconino National Forest and draws visitors for hiking, galleries, resorts, spiritual tourism, and the New Age scene around its so-called vortex sites. Sedona began as an agricultural settlement in Oak Creek Canyon, known for orchards before tourism took over. Today it feels like a desert mountain resort town, with dramatic geology doing much of the work.
