Sequatchie sits in a picturesque pocket of Marion County, nestled along the floor of the Sequatchie Valley with the steep ridges of the Cumberland Plateau rising on both sides. The Little Sequatchie River winds along the edge of the community, adding to a tranquil backdrop of rolling pastures and wooded hills. Valley View Highway serves as the main corridor through the valley, offering a scenic drive that connects residents to Jasper just a few miles southwest and Whitwell to the northeast.
