Seven Points, TX

Sitting on the western shore of Cedar Creek Lake, Seven Points gets its name from the multi-way crossroads at the center of town. The area really started growing after the reservoir filled in the 1960s, gradually developing into a quiet community of about 1,400 residents. Highway 274 runs straight through town, connecting directly with FM 334 and East Cedar Creek Parkway for an easy drive across the causeway into Gun Barrel City.

Life in Seven Points is largely residential and relaxed, with quick access to the water. Boaters make regular use of Causeway Marina and nearby ramps, while the Cedar Creek Library, municipal offices, and a handful of local diners line the main parkway. Most neighborhood kids attend schools in either the Kemp or Mabank school districts. It is an unpretentious, easygoing spot for anyone who wants lake-area living with everyday conveniences just a short trip down the road.
