Seventh Mountain, OR

Seventh Mountain is a Deschutes County census-designated place along the west bank of the Deschutes River southwest of Bend. The 2020 census counted 407 residents. Century Drive, part of the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, runs through the community and continues west toward Mount Bachelor. That makes Seventh Mountain feel less like a conventional town and more like a river-and-road gateway: Bend is the nearby city, the national forest and ski area are ahead, and the river supplies the local edge. The Seventh Mountain Resort is the main built landmark, with 21 lodging buildings and more than 200 condominiums, plus pools, recreation areas, and visitor traffic.

Bend-La Pine Schools serve the area, while the Deschutes River and the road toward the Cascades shape the rest of the map. A planned southward trail connection from Bend has also kept attention on how people reach the river and recreation sites without relying on the highway alone. Seventh Mountain is a compact community with a resort footprint, but the local scoop is geographic: its identity comes from the place where Bend's southwest edge, the river corridor, and the Cascade route meet.
