Shady Shores is a town in Denton County, Texas, situated on the northern shores of Lewisville Lake as one of the Lake Cities. First established in the 1920s as a fishing camp by contractor John William Franck, the community of approximately 2,922 is served primarily by the Denton Independent School District for public education.
