About Shoals

Shoals is a quiet community tucked into the scenic rolling hills of Martin County. Home to around 700 residents, the town has a distinctly relaxed, rural feel, centered around the East Fork of the White River winding right through the valley. It is best known for Jug Rock, an unusual freestanding rock pillar hiding in the woods on the edge of town that is famous enough to serve as the mascot for the local school sports teams, the Jug Rox.

Daily life moves at a comfortable, unhurried pace, with local schools, the county courthouse, and quiet residential streets anchoring the neighborhood.
