About Sibley

Sibley got its start in 1954 when Eddie and Edythe "Toots" Hagglund set up a cafe, dance hall, and campground to serve anglers visiting Lake Ashtabula. The lakeside hub grew quickly and officially incorporated in 1960, taking its name from General Henry Sibley. Today, daily life still centers on the water, offering a quiet, friendly atmosphere with easy access to boating, great fishing, and plenty of outdoor space to unwind.
