Skyline, MN

Skyline is a city in Blue Earth County immediately next to Mankato and part of the Mankato-North Mankato metropolitan area. The 2020 census counted 288 residents. At 980 feet above sea level, it occupies a slightly elevated piece of southern Minnesota, with County Road 1 serving as its main route. The city is close enough to Mankato for the regional map to feel shared, while its own boundary keeps a separate small-town center locally.

Blue Earth County is built around river valleys, farm fields, lakes, and the larger services of Mankato. Skyline sits inside that mix, with the county's agricultural background on one side and the metro's schools, work, and shopping on the other. County Road 1 is the practical thread through the community, carrying local trips into the surrounding countryside. Skyline's story is mostly geographic: a compact city on the Mankato edge, high enough to have a view, and small enough that the county road still defines the map.
