About Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is a Westchester County village on the east bank of the Hudson River, about 28 miles north of Midtown Manhattan. It is famous for Washington Irving's legend, but the real village has its own deep history around the Pocantico River, Philipsburg Manor, and the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow. Metro-North service at Philipse Manor ties it to New York City. Sleepy Hollow feels historic and atmospheric, but also very much a working Hudson River village.
