Slick, OK

Tucked along the Deep Fork River in Creek County, Slick got its start as a roaring boomtown during Oklahoma’s 1920 oil rush. Named after oilman Thomas B. Slick, it briefly drew thousands of newcomers before settling into a much quieter rhythm. Today, it is a peaceful rural community along Highway 16. Life moves at an easy pace here, with neighbors catching up at the local park for community events and enjoying plenty of open space.
