Smyrna, DE

Smyrna is a town in northern Delaware, historically known as Duck Creek Cross Roads before being renamed in 1806 for the ancient seaport of Smyrna. It has a historic district, its own school district, and a position between Dover and the Wilmington area that has made it both old Delaware town and growing bedroom community. The name, older buildings, and crossroads setting still matter here. Smyrna feels like a place where brick storefronts, state highways, farms, and new subdivisions all meet.
