Snowflake, AZ

Snowflake is a charming, close-knit town of around 6,000 residents nestled in the high desert of east-central Arizona. Founded in 1878 by Erastus Snow and William Flake, the town got its memorable name by combining the last names of its two early settlers. Sitting at an elevation of roughly 5,600 feet, the area enjoys four mild seasons and noticeably cooler summers than the Phoenix desert. It sits along Highway 77 right beside its sister community of Taylor, offering a relaxed rural setting with quick access to the pine forests and outdoor recreation of the White Mountains.
